Gough Bible

These pages were separated from the Bible, so the
date of the Bible is unknown. It is consistent with large
Bibles published in the late 19th-century. "One Thousand
Eight Hundred" is printed on the marriage certificate,
so it can be assumed that it was published well before
1900, and it is very possible that it is contemporary with
the 1877 marriage.

This family is found in the 1900 census in Lansing, Michigan.
Richard is a bookbinder, born in Pennsylvania, and his
parents were born in England. Alice was born in Michigan
and her parents were born in New York. Joseph had left
the household by this time.

Arthur, Ruth, Lloyd and Clarence show up in the 1930 Detroit,
Michigan federal census. He is a deliveryman and she is a
time clerk for a creamery.

Arthur Joy Gough is in the California Death Index, 1940-1997.
