The original Bible is currently in my parents' possession. This
transcription is taken from photocopies of its pages made by me in April
1996.
The source couple, Jacob and Caroline (MILLER) HEYD are my
great-great-grandparents. My line carries through their son Jacob, Jr, b.
1859, who was the father of Daisy (Heyd) McQuaid, my paternal grandmother.
Jacob and Caroline met in New Albany Indiana and married in 1851. They are
separately in the 1850 US Census and index, w/Jacob listed as ³Jacob Heid.²
Caroline is the daughter of Frederic MÜLLER/MILLER and Catarina Maria (WILD)
MÜLLER/MILLER, respectively from 1. Ingwiller and 2. Weiterswiller, [Canton:
1. Bouxwiller or 2. La Petite-Pierre], Arrondissement: Saverne, Département:
Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France. Jacob is the son of Valentin and Magdeleine
(ARBOGAST) HEYD, respectively from 1. Niederroedern and 2. Rittershoffen,
[Canton: 1. Seltz or 2. Soultz-sous-Forêts], Arrondissement: Wissembourg,
Département: Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France.
