Purchased from Avis + Norman Booksellers and Stationers, Uckfield, England. (Presented to James Hobbs by his father, Edward Hobbs of Pilt Down, Sussex, England when James left England for America.)

(James Hobbs brought this bible to Lima Center, Jefferson Co., WI ca. 1856. He presented it to his eldest son - Frederick William Hobbs upon Frederick's marriage to Nellie J. Webb in 1905.)
