Kent Bible

This bible was up for auction on eBay in March 2003. The seller gave permission for the following photographs and transcriptions to be submitted to this site .

Description:
Book Of Common Prayer together with the Pslams Of David complete with title page printed by W. Jackson & A. Hamilton printers to the University Oxford 1784. Following this is the general title page also by the same printers in 1784. The apocrypha follows and than the New Testament with the title page stating the same printers and year as the rest. This all followed by an Index to The Holy Bible. A very attractive King James version in a contemporary reverse calf binding. The joints are very strong and the insides are complete and very clean. The only real fault is a small stain on the front cover and wear to the top & bottom of the spine. This is a quarto measuring approx. 9" x 10 1/2" and 3 1/4" thick.
