Conner Bible

The Holy Bible Containing the Old and New Testaments,
Philadelphia, Mathew Carey, 1811. Varient of Hills #187.
This one has the Apocrypha.

The cover is detached from this Bible, and the front flyleaves
are missing. The general title page and OT title page are
detached and in poor condition. Some chipping on other
pages and heavy wear, and a hole about 1" x .5" through
the first few pages of Genesis, affecting no text.

This Bible was obviously well-used and loved, and it travelled
with the family from New Hampshire to Ohio to Iowa, and
lastly to Texas, with a date span of over 200 years. It
appears to have last been in the possession of Gertrude
Wilkinson of Austin Texas, who died in 1993.
