Davis Bible

The Holy Bible Containing the Old and New Testaments,
Oxford, University Press, London, 1870.

This Bible is in great condition. It was professionally rebound
at some point with a utilitarian binding. At that point, the family
record pages that traditionally reside before the New Testament
were removed. Other family record pages were inserted at the
very beginning of the Bible.

There are no place names mentioned, and the names are too
common to do any real investigation toward one.

The first entries, through the death of Mary on the Deaths page,
were done in the same handwriting, the careful Spencer handwriting
of the late 19th century. The other entries -- Clarence dying in
1926 through Margaret in 1949, were written in a second hand.
