DEATHS

Record of the family of Charles & Josephine GIMBY GORDON

Eva GORDON April 6th. 1897 at 12.30 pm.

Josephine GIMBY GORDON beloved wife of Chas. GORDON died at
7 o'clock in the evening of Monday October nineteenth, in
the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight (1908)
She, (her mortal body) was laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery
on Friday afternoon October 23rd 1908.
Six of her sons tenderly bore the casket from the Hearse to the
Grave followed by her seventh son and [her] husband. A devoted
wife and cherished mother on earth, an angel in Heaven, is the
testimony of her husband and family of seven sons and two
daughters living at the time of her death. Rev. L. A. Roger,
Pastor of Knox Church officiated. Other Clergymen present:
were Mr. Morris & Mr. Chautler, Methodists, Mr. Woodside
and Mr. Bethune, Presbyterian & J. F. McLaughlan (pro Vic
University).

Thomas GORDON, who adopted the additional name of Seaton
and was known as Thomas Seaton GORDON, died from wounds
January 22nd 1916 in France, serving with the British
Expeditionary Force as 2nd Lieut., 11th (Lonsdale) Battalion,
Border Regt., 97th Brigade, 32nd. Division.

Charles Haughton McKay GORDON (Major) died April 5th 1919
Regina, Sask. while home on leave to look after his daughter
who was left alone, her mother having died from Spanish
Influenza some two months before her father Major GORDON
dying from same disease.
